Program: Birding from the Edge: A glimpse into the life of a biologist living among the birds of Seal Island National Wildlife Refuge, Maine.
Keenan Yakola is a Graduate Fellow with the Northeast Climate Center at the University of Massachusetts. Keenan has worked the past three summers as a research supervisor for the National Audubon Society's "Project Puffin" at Seal Island National Wildlife Refuge. He is a native Cape Codder who became interested in birding and conservation while interning at Mass Audubon's Wellfleet Bay Wildlife Sanctuary. Keenan went on to receive his Bachelor's Degree from the University of Massachusetts in Wildlife Conservation. He has studied songbirds in Kenya and Tanzania, bushwhacked through the Peruvian Amazon, and banded songbirds and shorebirds from Cape Cod to Florida.
