Speakers: Mark Lynch & Sheila Carroll
Program: Birding the IBAs in Worcester County

   Mark Lynch teaches advanced level birding classes at Broad Meadow Brook. He is the book review editor for Bird Observer and was the regional editor of the Worcester County section of The Bird Finding Guide to Western Massachusetts. Mark hosts INQUIRY on WICN (90.5 FM), an international interview show that focuses on the arts and sciences and many topics of interest to birders.
   Sheila Carroll has been an avid birder for almost 30 years, traveling to such places as Tierra del Fuego and Lord Howe Island to observe and photograph birds. Sheila co-leads birding trips with Mark Lynch, and does the photography used in a variety of classes and presentations. She has had an exhibition of her work at the Worcester Center for Crafts. Sheila continues to do human resources consulting particularly with not-for-profit organizations.
   Mark and Sheila served as Regional Coordinators for the Worcester County section of the Massachusetts Breeding Bird Atlas II. Together with Dale Monette, then of DCR, Mark and Sheila did all the research and paperwork to create the Ware River Watershed IBA.
