Speaker: Shawn Carey
Program: “A Wing and a Care – Building a Future for Birds”
Snowy Owls, Atlantic Puffins, and American Kestrels are connected by more than simply a resemblance of form or function. A crucial thread ties them together: each one has an advocate committed to protecting it and educating others about its plight. “A Wing and a Care” opens a window onto the lives of these three birds, and introduces you to the men dedicated to their preservation and survival.
Shawn Carey is well known for stunning multimedia presentations. His avid interest in photography and passion for birding has led him to create Migration Productions in 1994. Since then, Shawn has presented programs to countless organizations including Mass Audubon, Eastern Mass Hawk Watch, and Hawk Mountain Sanctuary. Shawn teaches bird photography workshops for Mass Audubon and is an instructor for Summer Fields Schools at Wellfleet Bay Wildlife Sanctuary.
