Birds and Butterflies, Leicester

Birds & Butterflies with Massachusetts Butterfly Club, Leicester
Leader:  Dolores Price.   Weather:  Sunny with a refreshing breeze, 72 to 85 degrees.

Thirteen participants enjoyed a perfect summer morning for our annual Forbush Bird Club / Massachusetts Butterfly Club field trip in Leicester. Locations visited were Route 56 west of Worcester Airport, the path from Mulberry Street to the Friends Cemetery (“Spider Gates”), and the Mulberry Street field.  A late stop after noon at the Leicester Recycling Center’s hilltop field produced a Black-billed Cuckoo, an Indigo Bunting, and five additional butterfly species.
