High Ridge WMA, Westminster/Gardner

Forbush Bird Club trip: 8 observers, weather was light rain, temp in the mid 40's, calm wind. Highlights were , Great Blue Heron nesting colony with 15 occupied nests, nice views of Blue-headed Vireo, Brown Thrasher, and an early Bobolink. Overall migration would seem to be slightly behind schedule, low wood warbler diversity and missing a few expected species for the date such as House Wren.

Species seen and or heard by others, but not me were American Kestrel 1, and Eastern Towhee 1.
