Our annual auto trip, permitted by Massachusetts DCR, takes us inside the gates and over the back roads of East Quabbin. We will make frequent stops to walk or scope the water.

Note: the trip begins at GATE 35 at 7 am. Meet at the end of Old North Dana Road, New Salem. Directions: At 5 miles west of the intersection of Routes 32 and 122 in Petersham, turn sharp left on Old North Dana Road; proceed ~1 mile to the parking area.

This is an all-day trip. Please bring water, snacks, and lunch. There are portable toilets along the route and restroom facilities at Fishing Area 3 (Gate 43). High-carriage vehicles are advised. The trip is limited to Forbush members and the number of vehicles allowed is subject to the restrictions of our DCR Permit
