We will walk along the wide paved and dirt road, turn onto a forested trail, then head to the water and follow the shoreline. This will be a bird walk with an emphasis on bird track and sign. Expect a variety of waterfowl on the reservoir, lingering shorebirds, and landbirds including winter visitors such as Snow Buntings and Horned Larks.
From Route 32 Northbound at the intersection with Barre Road, turn left onto Barre Road. Continue on Barre Road to the center of Hardwick where Barre Road crosses Rt. 32A and becomes Greenwich Road. At this intersection you will pass Paige Farm on the left. Continue on Greenwich Road approx. 4 miles to the dirt parking area on the right, before the road turns sharply left.
