Goat Hill in Uxbridge on June 6
This trip was led by Mary Sughrue-Yacino. Here is her recap of the day:
I had six participants plus myself: four Forbush participants, plus a couple from Lexington who pulled into the parking area while we were standing there, and who then they asked if they could join us. Turns out that one of the Lexington folks bands birds with Strickland. It's a small world!
We got the worm-eating warbler in the parking area, and then when we walked into the spot where I had the sora a couple of weeks ago, it called within a minute of us arriving, with no playback needed! It was very close to us and called again a few minutes later. Also, we saw three large snapping turtles either laying eggs or on the move to lay eggs--always fun to see!
